Hi, I'm Brendan, your DJ and founder of Boogie Beats DJ Entertainment.
I have vast experience in providing music entertainment and MC services for a wide variety of events, priding myself on my ability to read a crowd and in knowing what works and what doesn't. With each and every event I endeavour to make it special, and exceed my clients' expectations. I adapt and react to situations quickly and professionally, providing a seamless service.
My entertainment service and skills have been provided at a wide variety of events since 2011, including the 2017 Emirates Team New Zealand America's Cup celebrations, and also the All Blacks/ Lions tour, plus of course weddings (more than 400!), birthdays, school discos & formals, corporate events, Christmas functions, community fundraisers, prize giving evenings and corporate functions throughout the South Island.

CEREMONY & PRE-RECEPTION
Trust me for the complete music management of your day!
I'll be all set up and ready to go while your guests arrive before the ceremony, setting the mood right from the start.
During the ceremony I will play your pre-determined songs, exactly when you want them - making sure those special moments are perfect.
When the ceremony is complete and your photos are being taken, I will keep the music playing for your guests, keeping everyone entertained and the mood elevated throughout the day - ready for the party!
RECEPTION & CELEBRATION
Ready to go for the evening, I will play background music while your guests are arriving at your reception venue and throughout dinner, controlling the atmosphere and shifting music to suit.
When it is time for speeches I can supply a wireless microphone, making sure all your guests can hear those heartfelt and funny stories!
As the tables are cleared and the atmosphere builds, the lead in for first dance begins... mood is just right and then the party is on! I am there to play the music for your day! I can mix anything from any style, any era and any genre.
My service is completely customisable to suit you, I love getting a list of the tracks you'd want to party to, so if you have something specific you want to hear please tell me - the music you like is a huge bonus for me, and your guests!
CAPTURE THE MOMENT
In addition to music entertainment, I also offer event photography! While you and your bridal party are away are getting formal photos done, I can capture photos of your family and friends and all the events that often get missed while you are away.
All too often the party is forgotten about because photographers generally don't stay past the official photos. I can capture the party while it's happening!

Are you having an event and want some great music?!
Inquire about any event you are thinking of having — a 30th, 40th, or 50th?! Even a Sunday session! You name it, I'll put the music to it! If you're having a dress up, I will come dressed up in the theme of your party!
Kids party or school disco?! No worries! I provide the entertainment for them so you don't have to! Watch out for my disco suit (complete with afro) while I throw games, get them into 'the limbo', musical statues, or perhaps a dance-off! I could even teach them a few moves!

We know its really uncertain times – but we all want to still have a great event... here's our stance on Covid-19...
If the Government change to a COVID alert level/lockdown where your event cannot legally proceed as planned (levels 3 or 4), then your deposit will be either refunded or transferred (only once) to another available/suitable date within a 12 month period.
If your event still could go ahead as originally booked, but you have chosen to hold your event at a later date then it is deemed as a new booking – your original deposit is non-refundable and a new booking, deposit and contract will be required for a new date. It is important to note if you choose to cancel the event within the cancellation period as stated in our contract, you may be liable for full or part payment.
Should you cancel your event, and you have lost your original deposit, but another client secures your original date, we will refund your deposit – we're not about double-dipping!
